Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it has launched attacks on oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and on locations linked to the United States in Bahrain, as tensions between Tehran and Washington continue to escalate.
The IRGC claimed it struck several oil tankers after their crews allegedly ignored warnings and switched off their vessel tracking systems while transiting the strategic waterway.
Meanwhile, the United States military said its forces had carried out strikes on military sites in parts of Iran, marking another escalation in the confrontation between the two countries.
The US also said it has deployed about 50,000 troops across the Middle East as regional tensions continue to rise.
