U.S. President Donald Trump has rejected a peace proposal from Iran, describing it as “stupid” and unacceptable amid rising tensions between the two countries.
He said the current ceasefire is “on life support” and warned it could fully collapse if a workable agreement is not reached soon.
Trump insisted that Iran’s response to the U.S. peace plan failed to meet key demands, especially on nuclear issues.
Iran’s proposal reportedly included lifting U.S. sanctions, ending oil export restrictions, and improving regional security arrangements. However, Washington says Tehran must make stronger commitments before any deal can move forward.
The disagreement has raised concerns about possible renewed conflict in the region, with analysts warning that failed talks could worsen instability and affect global oil markets.
Despite the tensions, diplomatic channels remain open, though both sides continue to hold firm to their positions.
