Security operatives in Adamawa State have arrested three suspects, including the son of a kidnapped victim, in connection with the abduction of a man in Malabu community, Fufore Local Government Area.
The Adamawa State Police Command confirmed the arrests in a statement issued Tuesday by its Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje. He said the suspects were linked to the kidnapping of Alhaji Ahmadu, which occurred on January 30, 2026.
According to the statement, police operatives, working in collaboration with members of the Miyetti Allah local security outfit, carried out a coordinated raid on a suspected kidnappers’ hideout in Jera village, Malabu District, Fufore Local Government Area.
Three suspects identified as Lawali Haruna, 45; Yahaya Ibrahim, 25; and Da’u Alhaji Ahmadu, 28, all residents of Jera, were arrested during the operation. Police said one of the suspects is the victim’s son.
The command added that efforts are ongoing to rescue the victim unharmed and to track down other members of the kidnapping syndicate. The suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
