Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, has met with a senior United States delegation to strengthen bilateral cooperation in addressing terrorism, kidnapping, and other security threats facing the country.
The meeting comes as Nigeria continues to battle attacks by armed groups and kidnappers in several parts of the country.
Both sides discussed improving intelligence sharing, enhancing counterterrorism strategies, and deepening security cooperation between Nigeria and the United States.
Ribadu said the Nigerian government remains committed to addressing the country’s security challenges and reaffirmed its determination to continue working with international partners to promote peace and protect lives and property.
