The British Defence Ministry says Royal Air Force jets operating in a “high-threat area” in the Middle East successfully downed multiple Iranian drones, without providing further details.
In its daily update on UK military activity in the region, the ministry said UK Typhoons and F-35 jets, together with Wildcat helicopters, continued “defensive” missions overnight over Cyprus, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
It added that UK pilots and aircrew have now exceeded 1,200 flying hours during operations since the conflict began.
