Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has issued a seven-day ultimatum to Defence Minister Christopher Musa over allegations linking him to the killings in Southern Kaduna during his tenure as governor.

In a statement issued on Monday, the family gave Musa seven days to either produce evidence backing his allegation or issue a full public retraction and apology.

El-Rufai, through his family and legal representatives, demanded that the minister either provide credible evidence toW support the allegation or publicly withdraw the statement and apologise.

The former governor strongly denied the allegation, describing it as serious and unsupported by evidence.

His lawyers have reportedly sent a formal letter before legal action, challenging Musa’s comments made during a television programme.

El-Rufai’s camp warned that Musa would face legal action if he failed to retract the allegation and apologise within seven days, potentially escalating the ongoing dispute between the former governor and the Defence Minister.
