Sowore vows to continue activism from Prison after Court remand

Former presidential candidate and activist Omoyele Sowore has declared that his detention will not stop his struggle for justice and accountability in Nigeria.

Speaking shortly after being remanded in prison, Sowore said he would continue advocating for the rights of Nigerians despite being behind bars.

Sowore’s statement came after the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered his remand at Kuje Correctional Centre over an ongoing defamation case involving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The court’s decision followed legal proceedings that led to the revocation of his bail and subsequent detention.

In a video released after the court ruling, the activist insisted that imprisonment would not silence him.

He maintained that he remains committed to challenging what he described as injustice and would use his time in custody to continue engaging in advocacy and political activism.
