Iran has welcomed diplomatic efforts by Pakistan to help end its recent conflict with Israel and the United States. Officials described the mediation as a positive step toward restoring stability.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said Tehran “appreciates” Pakistan’s role in seeking to end what it called an imposed war that began earlier this year.
He did not directly address a ceasefire extension announced by Washington, reportedly approved by President Donald Trump following a request from Pakistani mediators.
Despite the diplomatic developments, Iran signaled caution. Baghaei said the government is continuing to take “necessary measures” to protect its national interests and security.
The remarks highlight ongoing tensions in the region, even as international efforts to sustain a ceasefire and prevent further escalation continue.
