The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has alerted the public to a fake website circulating online under the title “INEC Ad-hoc Staff Recruitment 2026,” describing it as unauthorized and misleading.
In a statement on its Facebook page, the Commission clarified that it neither approved nor originated the link currently being shared for the purported recruitment exercise.
INEC stressed that the website is fraudulent and does not represent any official recruitment process of the commission.
The electoral body strongly advised members of the public not to submit personal information or sensitive data on the fake platform, warning that doing so could expose them to potential fraud.
INEC reiterated that all official recruitment announcements and related information would be communicated exclusively through its verified website and recognized communication channels.
